Trias

Trias aims to create a trustworthy autonomous computing system in order to build trust between users and software By implementing software filtering and 3 layers governance model platform can dismiss false software behaviour.

Team

Team is highly professional, number of members hold Ph. D in computer related area, including CEO. Trias has 3 core developers with a high degree of professional background in common. Many of team members have came from the Octa Innovations LTD, which is also a main partner for the platform. Seems that team has known each other and managed to release several projects and conduct researches on data exchange and protocols in Oxford University.

Concept

“Trias builds an all-platform-supported native-application-compatible smart contract execution platform, development framework and collaborating ecosystem”. In other words - a better ethereum. Based on the hash-graph technology Trias tries to build 3 layers of self governed and at the same time dependant on each other protocols that will verify and exchange data based on high level logic.

By minimizing the number of nodes required to vote for the consensus network will maximise its efficiency. Truthfulness of nodes provided by the lower level logic e.i mutual attestation (that logic comes form Tries team Oxford University research in 2011)

Project outlines several problems it aims to solve:

  • Consensus inefficiency
  • Heavy Redundancy
  • Restrictive Interface.
  • Trustworthy Data Collection
  • Data Privacy Preservation

The three Subsystems (Separation-of-Powers model):

  1. A network of Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs) (execution) Leviatom solves this issue by introducing the transitive trust relationship. Transitive trust allows one node to deduce the trustworthiness of a remote node without initiating direct remote attestations: as long as there exists an iterative attestation path to the target node. Therefore, in a network of partially mutual attesting nodes, as long as a node has the largest number of attestation paths led to it, it is regarded the hardest one to “tell a lie”.
  2. A traceable development framework. (legislation) defines each program's functional and security properties automatic or manual examinations or verifications on the recorded information for each critical step
  3. A consensus-oriented programming paradigm (judiciary) DApps can implement embed consensus strategy and ledger structure. They can also program their strategy to reward the computing infrastructures (Leviatom) or software (Prometh) contributors. Determines the service quality and allocates all parties' interests.

Competition

There is no clear competitor for the project that aims to automate and prevent the spread of harmful software, as well as develop and improve current blockchains by interconnecting them via smarþcontract layer. However, many services that already have working functions out there such as Blocknet, Quantstamp.

GitHub Presence

There is existing GitHub tree but zero code contributions have been made.

Social Network analysis

This has very low presence in social media. Project only has a telegram group chat and one month old Twitter account. Chat counts 12k member but it is inactive and 1k Twitter followers. However, project published weekly updates.

Economics

No information yet provided.

Token

There is no published information on token economics yet. However, form current documentation network will provide 3 roles for the users to execute.

  • Verifiers - examination of trustworthiness of surrounding nodes
  • Routers - data collection and utilization of gossip algorithms
  • Executors - execute apps

Funding and Distribution of Tokens

No information yet provided.

Presence

White Paper shows a great attempt to provide general overview of the protocol and basic logics of the future project. More technical details and use cases are required for the sophisticated users to understand full potential of the network.

Overall

The project creates positive outlook. It covers large area of data exchange and application support providing validating services for users backed by number of researches. Further information on the project will examined as soon as team publishes project’s economics and business model.
